Brunch Pe Charcha - Bangalore Chapter

Brunch Pe Charcha – Bangalore Chapter brought JIVAA alumni together on 23rd August at Vesparo – KRISHVI Evara, Indiranagar, for an afternoon of warm conversations, shared memories and meaningful connections. The gathering was filled with laughter, nostalgia and moments that made the reunion truly special.

Mr. Hari Nair Inspires a New Cohort

Mr. Hari Nair, JAGSoM alumnus (Batch of 2004–06) and Co-founder of CandlePlot Technologies, returned to Vijaybhoomi University for the Deeksha Aarambh Ceremony. Sharing insights from his MBA journey, he inspired the incoming cohort to embrace every opportunity and was honoured for his achievements and continued connection with his alma mater.

Research on Student Well-being

A recent study co-authored by Dr. Vishnu Vivek M, Associate Professor at JAGSoM, explores the link between psychological stress and subjective well-being among MBA students in Bengaluru. The research highlights academic and work pressure as key stressors, while emphasising the importance of social support, healthy coping mechanisms and stress management for student well-being.

Behind the Scenes at Amazon

JAGSoM senior batch students visited an Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Bengaluru, gaining first-hand insights into operations, supply chain, technology and process efficiency. The experience brought classroom concepts to life, offering a closer look at how people, processes and technology work together at scale.

Bringing Tradition to the Stage

On 21st August, IFIM Institutions and JAGSoM students, faculty and staff came together to showcase the learning from four days of SPIC MACAY Intensives. Guided by five accomplished gurus, the programme brought three days of training, practice and learning to the stage through a vibrant showcase of India’s rich artistic traditions.

Welcoming a New Chapter

Orientation 2026 welcomed the newest batch to IFIM with fresh faces, meaningful conversations and excitement for the journey ahead. As students begin their campus experience, they look forward to discovering new interests, building lasting friendships and preparing for the careers they aspire to create.

Celebrating the Spirit of Onam

Vijaybhoomi University celebrated Onam with vibrant Pookalam, traditional Sadhya and spirited games, bringing students together in the festive spirit of Keralam. The celebration highlighted the warmth of student participation while embracing India’s cultural diversity, unity and sense of community.

Learning Across Borders

Vijaybhoomi University hosted a send-off for Global Management students from KEDGE Business School as they completed their first-year academic credits. Through a case-based competition, students showcased analytical thinking, teamwork and creativity before heading to France to continue their academic journey.

Two Awards. One Proud Moment.

Vijaybhoomi University received two prestigious recognitions on the same day — “Emerging University of the Year” at the BW Businessworld Top Education Brands Awards 2026 and “The Most Upcoming University” at the ASSOCHAM EduMeet & Excellence Awards 2026. The honours reaffirm the university’s vision of bringing together liberal and professional education to shape future-ready, independent thinkers.

ASSOCHAM Recognition for Vijaybhoomi

Vijaybhoomi University was honoured as “The Most Upcoming University” at the 10th ASSOCHAM EduMeet & Excellence Awards 2026 in Kolkata. The award, received by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, recognises the university’s progressive approach to liberal professional education and its vision of developing future-ready professionals and changemakers.

School Leadership Bootcamp 2026

JAGSoM at Vijaybhoomi University welcomed its inaugural School Leadership Bootcamp 2026 cohort, bringing together 35 school leaders from 35 schools for an intensive two-day residential programme. The bootcamp focused on future-ready schools, finance, talent, student development, governance and strategic leadership, equipping participants to navigate complex institutional challenges.

The ‘Brunch Pe Charcha’ alumni gathering was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, interact and exchange perspectives with fellow alumni. I truly appreciate Ms. Kalavathi for bringing everyone together and creating such a warm and engaging platform for meaningful conversations.
IFIM has been more than just a place of learning for me. It has shaped the way I think and approach challenges, and the faculty, exposure and values continue to guide me in my personal and professional journey.
