Milan 2025 - Celebrating 30 Years
at the Annual Alumni Meet

Milan 2025, the Annual Alumni Meet, was a vibrant celebration filled with unforgettable moments. From electrifying performances, DJ nights, stand-up acts, a special book launch, and the celebration of 30 years of our journey, every experience reflected the spirit of connection and shared pride.
The Alumni Awards were presented to Mr. Siddharth Das, Mr. Debtosh Chatterjee, Mr. Diganta Dey, Mr. Debasish Dutta, Mr. Vibhu Kapoor, Mr. Nishant Yadav, Mr. Parameswar Mohan P, and Mr. Suyash Singh Rathore. The enthusiastic participation and energy of our alumni made Milan 2025 a memorable milestone for the entire community.

Alumni Interaction Report: Mr. Kashyap Verma

An insightful alumni interaction was held with Mr. Kashyap Verma, a distinguished JAGSoM – Jagdish Sheth School of Management (formerly IFIM) alumnus from the 1998–2000 batch and a global technology and business leader at Gartner. The session offered valuable perspectives on Global Capability Centers (GCCs), AI-driven transformation, and the evolving global semiconductor ecosystem. Mr. Verma highlighted the importance of a leadership mindset, personal branding, and effective communication, inspiring students to think beyond job roles and adopt a long-term, impact-driven approach.

JAGSoM Research Colloquium

Day 1 of the JAGSoM Research Colloquium laid the foundation for deeper academic inquiry and programmatic research. The sessions focused on purposeful and impactful research, highlighting the shift from isolated papers to structured research pathways. Participants explored research contributions, building academic identity, and the rigour required for publishing in A, ABDC-A, and top-tier journals. The day reinforced that meaningful research is driven by clarity, consistency, and long-term direction.

JAGSoM hosted the ELCIA L&D Leaders Workshop 2025

Confluence 2025 focuses on a key question shaping the future of work - whether AI is being used to evaluate people or enable them. Organised by JAGSoM in collaboration with NHRDN, Bangalore Chapter, the event brings together industry leaders to explore practical
applications of AI in HR. The session features eminent speakers Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, Mr. Abhishek Sen, and Ms. Swati Rustagi, offering insights on AI-driven transformation in the workplace.

JAGSoM Student Council
Investiture 2025-26

The JAGSoM Student Council 2025-26 was officially inducted during the Investiture Ceremony at the Bengaluru campus. The newly elected leaders pledged to uphold JAGSoM’s values of professionalism, collaboration, and innovation.
Congratulations to the council members as they step into a year of purposeful leadership.

Academic Excellence in Law

IFIM celebrates the achievements of BBA LL.B. Batch of 2019 –24 graduates Ms. Madhuparna Sarkar and Ms. Shinjinee Namhata. Ms. Madhuparna Sarkar received three Gold Medals in Constitutional Law (I & II), while Ms. Shinjinee Namhata secured the 2nd Rank in 2023–24. Their success reflects IFIM’s strong academic foundation and commitment to excellence in legal education.

Alumni Spotlight: Mr. Samrat Ghosh

Mr. Samrat Ghosh, an IFIM alumnus, shared his journey from classroom learning to global leadership. Currently Director – Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence (Global) at Archroma, he credited IFIM’s experiential learning for shaping his confidence and entrepreneurial mindset. During the JIVAA Alumni Meet 2025, he reflected on the power of the alumni community while reconnecting with peers, mentors, and his alma mater.

Education Excellence Conclave Bangalore 2025

IFIM hosted the Education Excellence Conclave Bangalore 2025, bringing together educators, thought leaders, and policy influencers for a day of dialogue on the future of education. Sessions focused on holistic learning, AI in education, leadership development, and engaging Gen Z and Gen Alpha. The conclave reaffirmed IFIM’s commitment to progressive, inclusive, and future-ready education.

Student Achievement: Team Sherlock Homies

Congratulations to Team Sherlock Homies - Tanvi Fulzele,
Sanjana J, Thejaswini, and Raguram SA - winners of the Crime Scene Investigation Competition 2.0 (Junior League), 2025, organized by the Centre for Legal Advocacy, IFIM Law School. The team’s win reflects their strong analytical skills, teamwork, and commitment to legal excellence.

Student Research Achievement

Undergraduate students of JAGSoM at Vijaybhoomi University-Ms. Saniya Dalal, Ms. Amrita Y., and Mr. Vijay Sundar Rajan-have published their research paper in the International Journal of Management and Applied Science (IJMAS). The paper, “Solar Panel Installations in the Bottom of the Pyramid: Key Issues Associated with Sustainability,” highlights their academic rigour and research-driven learning. This achievement reflects the strong research culture nurtured at JAGSoM, Vijaybhoomi University.

Student Entrepreneur Spotlight: Mr. Kush Sheth

Mr. Kush Sheth, a B.Tech Artificial Intelligence graduate from the Vijaybhoomi School of Science and Technology, reflects the spirit of purpose-driven learning. He founded ProjektAnalytics, a data analytics venture now incubated at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, while still a student.
His journey highlights how Vijaybhoomi University nurtures curiosity, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

OASIS ’26: A Full-Circle Win

OASIS Fest holds deep significance for Vijaybhoomi University, rooted in the journey of its Founder, Mr. Sanjay Padode, a proud BITS Pilani alumnus, whose vision for choice-based and flexible learning was inspired by his alma mater. At OASIS ’26, students from Vijaybhoomi University, IFIM Institutions, and JAGSoM participated, with the True School of Music band, Vijaybhoomi University, led by Mr. Gurman Singh Kohli and Prof. Vivek Pal, winning 1st Prize in TARANG. The win marked a powerful full-circle moment - celebrating gratitude, belief, and the enduring spirit of learning that Vijaybhoomi stands for.

Business Analyst - TCS

A huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to JAGSOM for shaping me into who I am today. My PGDM journey at JAGSOM went far beyond academics and played a crucial role in my transition from an Engineer to a Business Analyst. Continuous mentoring and guidance from the faculty, along with the #BeSpoke curriculum, helped me gain clarity about my strengths and choose the right specialization—something that significantly shaped my career path. Additionally, my experience as a Student Council member helped me develop leadership, team management, and decision-making skills, preparing me for real-world corporate responsibilities.
I also truly value the emphasis on holistic development at JAGSOM. The yoga and sports sessions helped me build a healthy, balanced lifestyle, which continues to be part of my daily routine even today. Once again, sincere thanks to JAGSOM and its faculty for this enriching journey.
